Located just 10 minutes south of Squamish on the iconic Sea-to-Sky Highway (Highway 99), Britannia Mine Museum is an easy and scenic stop along the Rainforest to Rockies Route. Our address is 150 Copper Drive, Britannia Beach, BC.

Driving

Easy parking in our free parking lot

From Vancouver, enjoy a beautiful 45-minute drive along the Sea-to-Sky Highway taking in picturesque views of Howe Sound. 10km north of Porteau Cove, you will see the biggest truck you’ve ever seen. Take a right and you’ll find our free parking lot on your right-hand side.

From Whistler, drive 45 minutes south on Highway 99, exploring the cascading viewpoints and mountainous interior. When you pass Squamish, you’ll be just 10 minutes away. As you round the final turn, you will see our iconic white Mill looming over the hillside, take a left at the T-intersection and find a spot in our free parking lot.

Our parking lot has dedicated RV parking for larger vehicles.

Squamish Connector Bus and Entry to the Britannia Mine Museum

Enjoy a scenic journey along the Sea to Sky Highway and let the Squamish Connector take you directly to the Britannia Mine Museum.

Electric Charging

There are no EV chargers at the museum. The closest are next door, at Britannia Village, which offers 10 EV charging points with different connector types (J1772, CCS1, and CHAdeMO), including a dedicated station for electric buses and commercial vehicles. To find and check the status of these chargers, you can use the PlugShare website or app, which offers filters for network and plug type, as well as crowd-sourced information.

Taxi/Ride Share

Taking a Taxi/Ride Share to the museum is NOT recommended, as it can be challenging to secure a return ride at the end of your visit.
